Gyptoket Etching with gold leaf detail (rounded)

£125.00

Copper etching with lasercut and gold leaf detail

Print size 30x40cm

Paper size 38 x 48 approx

Limited edition of 5

These etchings were created at Northern Print during a bursary project. The imagery is inspired by an exhibit at Glyptotek Museum, Copenhagen. The museum housing a large collection of ancient marble and stone sculptures. Many of these had been damaged over years and during the Victorian era, were ‘repaired’ with hasty plaster additions. Much of the damage was facial features such as ears, noses etc. In more recent history, the decision was made to reinstate the sculptures to their original and unalteread state. This included removal of any dodgy victorian nose jobs. The victorian plaster was displayed all together in one case and led to a curious collection.

As these prints are hand printed individually, there may be some slight variations from print to print.

Delivered rolled in a postal tube, Unframed/unmounted
